Peeps

Originally commissioned for the television series Landmark by Sky Arts, Peeps is an evolving body of sculptural work that explores play, human connection and identity through a cast of colourful, abstracted figures. Designed to encourage interaction, the sculptures invite visitors of all ages to pause, gather and engage with one another through moments of curiosity and play.

Since its first presentation, Peeps has travelled to a number of public and cultural sites across the UK, including The Beaney House of Art & Knowledge in Canterbury, Trinity Buoy Wharf in London, Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery, Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery, where new brushed metal sculptures were commissioned for Chinwag, 100 Victoria Street through A Space for Art and Landsec, and Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens, where the sculptures have become part of the permanent collection. Each installation responds to its surrounding environment while continuing to encourage conversation, participation and shared experience.

With thanks to Sky Arts, Gillian Jason Gallery, Southern & Partners, the exhibiting venues, commissioners, collaborators, fabricators, installers, and everyone who has supported the development of Peeps over the years.
