About
Alice Irwin is a London-based artist working across sculpture, print and public art. Her distinctive visual language navigates the boundary between figuration and abstraction through simplified forms, bold colour and recurring symbols. Drawing on memory, play, social behaviour and shared experience, her work creates spaces for curiosity, connection and reflection.
Working across galleries, institutions and the public realm, Irwin's sculptures invite audiences of all ages to engage physically and emotionally with the work. Through tactility, humour and familiarity, she explores how play can become a tool for conversation, imagination and collective experience.
Recent projects and exhibitions include Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Tremenheere Sculpture Garden, Trinity Buoy Wharf and The Piece Hall.
